Start just walking a short distance and then lengthen the distance each time. Although you might think that walking can not be classed as a workout, you would be wrong. The faster you walk the better, as this will give the heart a good workout as well, especially if your walk incorporates some inclines / hills. You will find that when you reach the top, that you are breathing quite heavy.
Weight training is also beneficial, as it helps to strengthen the muscles in the body, you especially should try and strengthen the core muscles in the body. When the muscles are strengthened they are less likely to be strained or damaged. The main aim of weight training for women is to strengthen, lengthen and build slender muscles. Muscle also helps to speed up your metabolism and so helps you to lose weight. Join a health club so you can take advantage of using the swimming pool facilities and their gym equipment. Otherwise trying doing some physical exercise at home, like yoga, pilates or even playing with the children. Regular activity helps promote health and improves the digestive system functions, stimulates the lymphatic flow which helps rid the body of toxins and supports the immune system.
Eating correctly will also contribute greatly to your fitness. You should always have breakfast, as it helps set the body up for the day and helps stop you snacking during the morning because of hunger. Try to avoid fast food as much as possible because at the end of the day they have no nutritional value. As well as food the body also needs fluids, one of the best fluids to drink is water as it helps to hydrate the body.
