Have you ever thought that you have not found or fulfilled your purpose for living?  Your purpose is the thing that makes you feel whole, makes you feel complete.  It can catch you anytime; make you want to know why you are here.  Anything can trigger this thought process of wanting to know such as a comment from someone or memories from earlier life.

The film “The Shift” starring Dr Wayne Dyer helps you to understand.  The film follows three different people who discover that they want more from life than they have at their present time.  This is interspersed with Dr Wayne Dyer being filmed for a documentary on how to find your purpose.

Each person followed has a different life, there is a mother of two children who feels that she has lost touch with who she is and that she has turned her back on her artistic background.  An overworked executive who is so focussed on work that he has forgotten how to have fun and the film director who is filming the documentary who is so consumed with making money and his next big film, that really he did not want to do the Dr Wayne Dyer documentary.

During the film Dr Wayne Dyer spoke of how he struggled in this early days to be successful and to have money and how he gradually changed his direction in life and found his purpose.  He freely talks about his experiences that helped him achieve his “shift” in life.

During the interview with Dr Wayne Dyer he reminds us that everyone is born with what you require in life, that you are perfect in every way to cope with life but than the want for more possessions takes over.  You want more and more that you eventually lose touch with your beginnings.  You start to believe that you are what you have and what you have achieved.   You also believe that you are what other think of you, do they think of you as successful or a failure.

Throughout to the film Dr Dyer talks about you how you need to let go and trust that everything will work out perfectly for you.  That life will happen as it is supposed to and that you can lead an enjoyable, peaceful life.

A film that you can watch over and over again but you can learn new ideas from each time.  Please note that the film “The Shift” has been released before under the title “Ambition to Meaning- Finding your Life Purpose”, so if you have that earlier film you will not need to buy this one, unless you want to see the additional interviews that have been added.
