How to lose baby fat

The one thing that women want to know is how to lose belly fat or even more how to lose baby fat after having a baby.  Look no further, Holly Rigsby has designed a program called Fit Yummy Mummy which is aimed at losing your baby fat and regaining your body as it was before pregnancy or even a better body.

Although this program is aimed at women who have had children, it can also be used by women of any age and who might not even have had any children.  As long as you have a desire to lose weight, you can use this program.

How the lose baby fat program works

The one thing that I really like with this program is that you do not have to exercise for hours; in fact Holly is completely against spending hours in the gym.  Holly’s views are that you should only do exercise that target the large muscle groups in the body and not just target one muscle at a time.  To achieve this you need to do resistance training, movements such as squats, lunges and push ups which target all the major muscles of the body.  You start off with body weight exercises building up to using weights, medicine ball and a stability ball.

So the Fit Yummy Mummy program involves ninety minutes of exercise a week and this can be broken down into fifteen minutes a day six times a week or thirty minutes three times a week.  This is split into fifteen minutes of resistance training and fifteen minutes of interval training.  What are intervals, I hear you ask, well intervals is any type of exercise like star jumps, skipping, running on the spot for 30 seconds to start with so that it raises your heart rate followed by a short slower moving period, so your body can recover.

The program also helps show you how nutrition can help aid your weight loss.  The Fit Yummy Mummy program does not encourage starvation or deprivation diets as these just destroy your metabolism and actually help you put on weight.  Eating good metabolism foods such as proteins, fresh fruit and vegetables and healthy fats is the only way to go.  In the program she has set out plans for you to follow.  The only criticism is that it is aimed at the American market and so if you live elsewhere you might find problems getting certain foods but I am sure that you can get around that.

The program comes in the shape of an ebook which walks you through the complete program.  This how to lose baby fat program is not just a diet and exercise program but a life change program.  It help you understand how to get motivated, how to prepare yourself mentally for the changes.  Then on to providing you with four different nutrition plans which you rotate over sixteen weeks.  Through to the exercise plans, starting with beginners and progressing through to more advanced exercises.  At the back of the ebook there is a library of how to do all the exercises, with pictures as well as written instructions.
