As busy women we all struggle to find time to exercise and get fit.  There is always something that needs doing – looking after the kids, deciding what to cook for dinner or going out to work, that we can never find the time to tone our bodies and lose weight.  But I have come across a fat burning program called Fit Yummy Mummy that just requires 15 minutes a day to get the body you want.  Holly Rigsby who is the creator of this fat burning program was kind enough to give an interview and answer some questions about the program.

WHD  What makes this fat burning system different to all the others on the
market?

HR  Fit Yummy Mummy stands out for it is designed specifically for busy moms who do not have hours to spend at a gym. They are provided with a workout solution they can do right at home in as little as 90 minutes a week. Plus FYM does not stop there - women are provided with a complete lifestyle system that also addresses goal setting, motivation, nutrition and lifestyle habits that must be in place for true and lasting results.

WHD  What is your background and why should moms listen to you?

HR  I am a Mom and I have been there and done that.
I spent years destroying my metabolism with starvation diets and ephadra-based pills. Becoming pregnant with Tyler provided me with the opportunity to end these destructive habits and begin to take better care of my body. However, with the weight gain that comes with pregnancy, I quickly found myself gaining too much due to my efforts to slow my metabolism in the past. Post pregnancy was an eye opening journey as well. No amount of cardio or yoga delivered the results I was in search of. Finally discovered results came from resistance training, intervals and filling my body with supportive foods. At age 35 - going on 36 -  have now have a body that is more lean, toned and energetic than it ever has been...even prior to Tyler. I lead an extremely busy lifestyle and have found a system that is not only makes results attainable, but women can maintain them as well.

WHD  What do our readers have to do to get the most out of their workouts and why?

HR  To get the most out of you workouts you #1 have to schedule the time for them each and every week. Without a consistent schedule, the most effective fat loss workouts will not produce results.

#2 Workouts must include full body resistance training moves. Resistance training is the only form of exercise that increases lean muscle - the more lean muscle you have, the higher your metabolism, the more fat and calories you burn, the faster you see results. Full body moves give you metabolism a higher boost than isolated moves. EX - tricep kickbacks vs. push ups

#3 Workouts must be progressively challenging. If you are not challenged during your workouts, you are simply going through the motions and not stimulating muscle growth - the metabolism boosting change necessary to spur fat loss. A common mistake is to use weights that are too light with high repetitions, causing women to feel a burn, thus leading them to believe a positive change is happening. Instead, choose a weight that feels
challenging to lift 10-15 times depending on the exercise.

WHD  I know that our readers will be worried that they will bulk up with weight lifting exercises, what can you say to satisfy their fears?

HR  Resistance Training: Yes, you will gain fat burning muscle; No, you will not "bulk up".

Adding resistance training to your workout plan will not turn you into a female version of the Incredible Hulk.

It is physiologically impossible for women to bulk up like a man and it all has to do with hormones.  Testosterone is the muscle building hormone which is up to ten times higher in men, while women have a significantly higher amount of estrogen.

Resistance training part of the fat burning program*FYI:* I lift heavy weights and would hope you do not find me bulky. For a reference point, I squat 135 pounds with a barbell, 35 lbs. each arm for a DB chest press, and 45 lbs. each arm for a bent over row.

This is advanced and very challenging, keeping my metabolism humming and my body lean, firm and toned. There is no bulk, just a lean, toned, defined shape. Besides, muscle takes up less space than fat!

If you took one pound of fat and put it in front of you it would equal a grapefruit in size.

If you take a pound of muscle and put it in front of you it would equal an orange in size.

Looking at both you'll find that they are both the same weight but one pound of fat is bigger and takes up a lot more room.

If you lose 10 grapefruits off your body but gain ten oranges you would be the same weight but a lot smaller afterward.

So not only will increasing the amount of lean muscle in your body help fire up your metabolism, it is the fastest way to lose inches so you can *fit back into those skinny jeans* you've been hanging on to!

WHD  Why do your fat burning workouts need to be short and fast?

HR  When you follow a full body resistance training workout, there is no need to spend hours in the gym targeting one muscle at a time. Using compound movements – such as squats, lunges, push ups, pull ups or rows, allows you to effectively challenge all the major muscles in your body in one condensed workout.

WHD  Can this program  be used by other women even though its specifically for young moms?

HR  An effective fat burning system such as this can be used by anyone.

There are no age limits or gender boundaries when it comes to the principles of fat loss. The same facts apply to everyone. What Fit Yummy Mummy has to offer however, is that it is presented from the perspective of a busy mom, who is in need of an effective fitness plan that does not take a tremendous amount of time and this is something that makes her feel confident in her decision to follow for a lifetime. This is why Fit Yummy Mummy is appealing to all busy women – regardless of age and regardless of whether or not they have children.

WHD  What sort of changes in eating habits are required to have effective fat loss?

HR  Very simply, cutting out the processed junk foods and sugar and replacing these foods with more wholesome, metabolism boosting foods such as quality proteins, fresh fruits and veggies and healthy fats. Eating is a must. No starvation or deprivation diets here. What the Fit Yummy Mummy's are most surprised by are how much they DO get to eat, how much better they feel and how quickly their results are attained.

WHD  Motivation is one the hardest things to keep going, how do you keep yourself motivated?

HR  I have clearly stated my goals and they are in my sights at all times. I have come to accept that self improvement is an ongoing process. Each and every day is an opportunity to learn more about me. So I also spend time to reflect on a daily and weekly basis and make adjustments along the way.

It is very helpful for me to focus on the benefits of what I have and what I continue to achieve. I enjoy and appreciate how energized I feel after a workout and how my body looks and feels overall.

I think it is also important to share the practice of positive affirmations and forgiveness.

For one, if you do not have a positive mindset – along with the belief that results are possible – it will be very difficult to attain results. Plus, there are going to be good days and bad days. We are human and we all make mistakes. Dwelling on these mistakes and beating ourselves up only takes our energy away and prevents us from focusing on a solution. So best to take any obstacle or setback and first practice some forgiveness and then seek out a solution.

WHD  What can our readers expect to achieve using your fat loss program?

HR  A brand new body, new attitude, confidence and higher quality of life.

When I speak of this being a lifestyle system ….it really is changing the lives of these women. Not only are they able to achieve amazing fat loss goals, they begin a journey that allows them to connect with and discover who they really are – what their passions are – what it means to truly live again. This is a priceless experience and I have the privilege of sharing in the celebration of these results with these women on a daily basis.
